Board of Review
Provides rulings on property assessment appeals. Meets March, July and December. Members must be city residents qualified by experience and/or training in matters related to real estate.
Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA)
Bylaws
Provides review of administrative rulings and decisions regarding zoning variances. Meets as needed. Members must be city residents qualified by experience and/or training in matters related to construction, land use planning and/or zoning.
Brownfield Redevelopment Authority
Bylaws
Promotes the revitalization of environmentally distressed properties through tax increment financing.. Meets quarterly. Members are appointed by the mayor. Members must be qualified by experience and/or training in matters related to redevelopment.
Construction Board of Appeals
Provides decisions on appeals to building code regulations. Meets as needed. Members are appointed by the mayor. Members must be qualified by experience and or/training in matters relating to construction.
Local Development Finance Authority (LDFA)
Bylaws
Promotes the attraction and expansion of manufacturing businesses within the city-owned industrial park. Meets quarterly. Members are required to be registered electors of the city.
Local Officer Compensation Commission
Establish the salaries of elected officials. Meets every other year. Members are required to be registered electors of the city.
Marina Advisory Committee
Provides recommendations on marina operations. Meets a minimum of twice a year (spring and fall). Members are not required to be city residents, but must be qualified by experience and/or training in matters relating to marina operations.
Planning Commission
Bylaws
Promotes and protects the public health, safety, and general welfare of the city through implementation and enforcement of the comprehensive plan and zoning regulations. Meets monthly. Members must be qualified by experience and/or training in matters related to land use planning.
Tax Increment Finance Authority (TIFA)
Bylaws
Promotes economic development through tax increment financing with an emphasis on the downtown. Meets quarterly. Members are not required to be city residents, but must be qualified by experience and/or training in matters related to redevelopment.
White Lake Community Library
Establish policy for library services. Meets monthly.
White Lake Fire Authority
Establish policy for fire and rescue services. Meets bimonthly.
White Lake Solid Waste Authority
Establish policy for recycling and waste disposal. Meets six times a year.
